Which Word files can I convert to PDF?
This tool converts .docx files, for example from Microsoft Word, Google Docs or LibreOffice. For an old .doc file, open it and save it as .docx first.
Will the PDF look exactly like my Word document?
Not always. The document is converted in your browser and some Word features, such as complex layouts, text boxes, headers and footers, may look different. Check the PDF before you share it.
Is my document uploaded to a server?
No. The conversion runs in your browser and your document is not sent to our servers. Your browser does download the conversion libraries from a public CDN.
Is there a file size limit?
The tool sets no fixed limit, but very large or long documents use a lot of memory, especially on phones. If conversion fails, choose Standard quality or split the document into smaller parts.
Can I select the text in the PDF?
The PDF pages are images of your document, so the text cannot be selected or searched. Use the Image Text Converter if you need to extract the text again.
